Recently, closing of an overseas pharmaceutical contract service provider joint venture deal, which was represented by Hanling, has been successfully occurred and start to provide relevant services.
In this deal, Hanling was acting under joint appointment by both joint venture parties to file the merger control filing to China’s anti-monopoly regulatory authority. The main business of such newly formed pharmaceutical contract service provider belongs to the area that has boosted in recent years. However, based on communications and discussion with the joint venture parties, Hanling was able to make a reasonable and convincing definition of relevant product market and geographic market which enabled the deal to be approved by China’s regulatory authority in a relatively short period of time.
